In the next installment of his music series, Joe Rogan speaks with author and psychologist Dr. John Coleman about his new book,”The Happiness Epidemic.” Dr. Coleman says that there’s a war going on within the mind between the positive and negative sides of the personality. One side is called the”good side” and the other is known as the”bad side.” Dr. Coleman says that if people get too close to either extreme they could lose sight of what their real priorities are and can easily slip into negativity.
Joe Rogan responded by stating he has a friend who listens to the podcast and is currently studying the New York Times Bestsellers list on iTunes. He went on to say that he also listens to a lot of podcasts, which he describes as”nerdy online nonsense.” When pressed about his favourite books, Joe Rogan responds that he’s currently reading The New York Times Bestseller list on iTunes right now. The same record that is recorded in the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, Financial Times, and MIT Technology Review. Rogan added that he always feels good when he knows there are people who think he is correct about something. He did note that if it comes to his recommendations for people he doesn’t normally subscribe to the”I’m right, you’re wrong” mentality.
Joe Rogan has also suggested that he gets a kick out of watching The Mentalist. According to a press release from the Associated Press, Joe Rogan is the latest in a long line of actors to say that they get vaccines for the flu and for the common cold. Celebrities such as Drew Barrymore, Jamie Fox, Ben Kingsley, Chris Evans, Meryl Streep, and lots of others have all indicated that they get vaccinated. It was also announced that actor Danny Glover will be receiving the flu shot in preparation for his role as The Mentalist from the new TV show. The news of these vaccines being connected to the new TV series has caused quite a stir with many caregivers claiming that the move could be harmful.
Joe Rogan states he’s not going to enter the”happiness hypothesis” anymore, but rather state he’s going to discuss the things which have been causing him joy. In the last interview he said how listening to certain types of music influences his mood and talked about meditation as well. In this latest interview he talks about how the new TV series The Mentalist is based on a story he read in a book about treating psychosomatic illnesses. If you’re somebody who believes that Joe Rogan is simply saying what he thinks people want to hear, then you are probably not going to be happy with the new direction Joe Rogan’s taking. Many fans are calling the new podcast The Good Doctor a brain dead show and stating that it doesn’t offer any new ideas for treating disorders of the mind.
Recently, in an internet search I did to look for evidence that Joe Rogan was right about the health benefits of meditation and the connection between that and the various ailments of the mind, I came across a rather interesting theory involving Joe Rogan’s beliefs about the Japanese culture. According to the theory, Joe Rogan saw a similarity between the life span of the Japanese karate master and the author, Yujiaki Aoyagi, who wrote the best seller The Long Knife. The book was supposed to explain why Aoyagi could be able to live so longinto his nineties. It also discussed how the mind is linked to several distinct areas of the body, including the brain, and how the body, and brain, can be connected to each other in some way. Aoyagi’s publication also discussed how many of the aches and pains we experience throughout the years are related to tension within the human body in addition to the mind. So, it seems that Joe Rogan may have found his very best evidence that meditation can treat the human body and mind and prevent illness.
